Estudios previos en el laboratorio han demostrado que flotillin-1 es capaz de translocarse a n\u00facleo en respuesta a un est\u00edmulo mitog\u00e9nico i favorecer la proliferaci\u00f3n de diversas l\u00edneas celulares. Los mecanismos mediante los cuales provoca estos efectos son desconocidos i objeto del presente estudio. en una primera parte demostramos que flotillin-1 interacciona con el receptor transmembrana notch1, implicado en numerosos procesos de proliferaci\u00f3n, diferenciaci\u00f3n, apoptosis, etc. Flotillin-1 regula la localizaci\u00f3n subcelular de notch1 as\u00ed como su capacidad como activador transcripcional. La inhibici\u00f3n o mutaci\u00f3n de flotillin-1 dificulta la entrada de notch1 a n\u00facleo i la expressi\u00f3n de sus genes diana de las familias hes\/hrt. en un segundo bloque se muestra  el papel regulador de flotillin-1 sobre la quinasa aurora b, una prote\u00edna que interviene en el control del proceso de mitosis, concretamente en el anaphase checkpoint. El knock-down de flotillin-1 provoca la aparici\u00f3n de fenotipos mit\u00f3ticos aberrantes, acompa\u00f1ados del descenso tanto en la expresi\u00f3n de aurora b como de su actividad medida como los niveles de fosforilaci\u00f3n de su substrato histona h3. Flotillin-1 interacciona con aurora b i evita su degradaci\u00f3n por la v\u00eda del proteasoma. en conjunto, se presenta flotillin-1 como una prote\u00edna capaz de actuar a diferentes niveles i regular procesos i v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n celular que le confieren un papel como regulador de la proliferaci\u00f3n celular.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
