Se ha desarrollado una estructura generica de programas de simulacion, que soporta la comunicacion entre el interface de usuario y la aplicacion. La estructura orientada a objeto ha sido reusada mediante derivacion y composicion. Un nuevo toolkit encapsula la generacion y el comportamiento del del interface de usuario. Este toolkit supone una nueva capa sobre x window system y osf\/motif. La comunicacion se establece por 2 metodos. El el primero, includo en el toolkit se basa en el esquema esquema eventos-callbacks de motif. El segundo establece la comunicacion usando un esquema similar al de un uims. Utiliza tres niveles (presentacion-dialogo-aplicacion), usa programacion orientada a objeto y tecnicas recursivas. La estructura de la simulacion se ha optimizado para proporcionar una retro-alimentacion rapida al usuario sin frenar el proceso de simulacion. Se ha optimizado la interaccion con tecnicas de programacion paralela. Se han implementado otras funcionalidades como la posibilidad de trabajo cooperativo y la computacion distribuida.  palabras clave: interface de usuario, programacion orientada a objeto, uims, x
