Como qued\u00f3 indicado m\u00e1s arriba, hemos realizado una periodizaci\u00f3n de la obra de nuestro pensador en diversas etapas, integrando sus obras en ellas, exponiendo las fuentes y n\u00facleos tem\u00e1ticos m\u00e1s representativos de cada per\u00edodo. Las diversas etapas de su biograf\u00eda y pensamiento han quedado como sigue: i. Los primeros a\u00f1os; ii. El valverde juvenil; iii. Los a\u00f1os de roma (1950-1955); iv. catedr\u00e1tico de est\u00e9tica en barcelona (1956-1965); v. El compromiso: \u00abno hay est\u00e9tica sin \u00e9tica\u00bb; vi. El exilio: 1967-1977; vii. El regreso a barcelona. Activista y pensador: 1978-1996; conclusiones; bibliograf\u00eda; in\u00e9ditos y ediciones caseras; ap\u00e9ndice documental y materiales digitales. Los n\u00facleos tem\u00e1ticos fundamentales que traspasan toda la obra de valverde son: su reflexi\u00f3n sobre el lenguaje, lo est\u00e9tico (y lo po\u00e9tico), lo pol\u00edtico-social y lo religioso. A lo largo de nuestra investigaci\u00f3n hemos mostrado tambi\u00e9n la relaci\u00f3n de valverde con el contexto hist\u00f3ricosocial y cultural en general en el que vivi\u00f3; igualmente, su
