Se pretende estudiar la radiometr\u00eda de los canales y comparar los resultados con la versi\u00f3n anterior del conjunto de datos diarios pal-global (daily global noaa\/nasa pathfinder avhrr 8 km land data set). M\u00e1s espec\u00edficamente, este objetivo se descompone en: a) dise\u00f1ar e implementar una nueva cadena software para procesar el nuevo conjunto de datos pal-tile. B)comprobar la calidad radiom\u00e9trica de ambos conjuntos de datos mediante un an\u00e1lisis comparativo en zonas des\u00e9rticas radiom\u00e9tricamente estables para el a\u00f1o 1990. C) realizar un an\u00e1lisis comparativo de los resultados de superficies quemadas obtenidos a partir del conjunto de datos pal-global  y del nuevo conjunto pal-tile usando el algoritmo de detecci\u00f3n de superficies quemadas baa (burned area algorithm). D) una vez definidas las zonas de estudio: \u00e1frica tropical, \u00e1frica tropical septentrional y \u00e1frica tropical meridional entre los a\u00f1os 1981-2000. Mediante la cadena software de procesamiento se generar\u00e1n las correspondientes series temporales de superficies quemadas agrupadas por tile y por mes. E) realizar una comparaci\u00f3n espacio-temporal de los patrones de comportamiento entre los resultados obtenidos y dos productos de superficies quemadas disponibles para \u00e1frica y para el a\u00f1o 2000: gba2000 y globscar.  analizar los resultados de superficies quemadas obtenidos con el fin de construir un modelo estad\u00edstico que permita describir la serie temporal y a partir del cual realizar predicciones. M\u00e1s espec\u00edficamente, este objetivo se descompone en: a) analizar la serie temporal de superficies quemadas para las zonas de estudio: \u00e1frica tropical, \u00e1frica tropical septentrional y \u00e1frica tropical meridional, mediante la representaci\u00f3n de los cronogramas y la obtenci\u00f3n de los \u00edndices estacionales.  B) estudiar la posible relaci\u00f3n entre la serie temporal de superficies quemadas y el fen\u00f3meno de el ni\u00f1o. C) modelar la serie temporal de superficies quemadas mediante sarima (seasonal autoregressive integrated moving-average) utilizando la serie temporal del soi (southern oscillation index) como variable
