Para ello, hemos aplicado algunas de las metodolog\u00edas m\u00e1s recientes y espec\u00edficas del an\u00e1lisis de series temporales como los an\u00e1lisis de tendencias y funciones de transferencia, las cuales incorporan complejidad, presencia de ruido y no estacionariedad, los cuales son reconocidas como importantes desventajas en el an\u00e1lisis de series temporales ecol\u00f3gicas. Los resultados han mostrado significantes cambios de las variables estudiadas en el tiempo. \u00edndices clim\u00e1ticos como la oscilaci\u00f3n del atl\u00e1ntico norte mostraron una relaci\u00f3n negativa con las temperaturas del aire, mientras que la temperatura del agua y la temperatura del aire fueron positivamente relacionadas en ambos estuarios. Como consecuencia, una directa y positiva relaci\u00f3n entre la temperatura del agua y la clorofila a fueron apreciadas en agua que no fueron limitadas por los nutrientes (salinidad 30 y 33) del estuario de urdaibai, mientras que en bilbao esta relaci\u00f3n fue enmascarada probablemente por los efectos de la contaminaci\u00f3n de este perturbado estuario. La variabilidad clim\u00e1tica muestra ser uno de los principales factores que explican las condiciones de hipoxia observada desde 2002-2003 en aguas interiores de ambos estuarios. En el interior del estuario (salinity 30) de bilbao, la exitosa introducci\u00f3n de la especie invasora a. Tonsa fue relacionada a cambios debidos a la variabilidad ambiental, a aquellos asociados a las actividades humanas y a la falta de especies aut\u00f3ctonas en estas
