El manejo de este s\u00edndrome contin\u00faa siendo un gran reto, y todav\u00eda son necesarios modelos animales experimentales que simulen estas condiciones cl\u00ednicas. La infecci\u00f3n experimental con el virus de la enfermedad hemorr\u00e1gica del conejo (rhd) cumple muchos de los requisitos para ser considerado un buen modelo animal de fhf. Este trabajo investiga los cambios acontecidos en las v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n celular mapk, nf-kappab, ap-1 y stat durante el da\u00f1o hep\u00e1tico inducido por la rhd. Los conejos se infectaron con 2&#215;104 unidades hemaglutinantes del virus de la rhd. La apoptosis se demostr\u00f3 por la presencia actividad caspasa-3 y la proteolisis de parp a las 36 y 48 horas postinfecci\u00f3n (hpi). La infecci\u00f3n provoc\u00f3 una expresi\u00f3n marcada y persistente del factor tnf-alfa desde las 12 hpi, mientras que tan s\u00f3lo se produjo un incremento transitorio de la expresi\u00f3n de il-6. La expresi\u00f3n de la forma fosforilada (p-) de jnk, p38 y erk1\/2 era significativamente elevada a las 12 hpi. A las 48 hpi la expression de p-jnk se mantuvo a m\u00e1ximo nivel, mientras que la expresi\u00f3n de la p-p38 retorn\u00f3 a la normalidad y desapareci\u00f3 la de p-erk1\/2. Se observ\u00f3 activaci\u00f3n del nf-kappab y ap-1 y un incremento de la expresi\u00f3n de vcam-1 y cox-2 de forma paralela. Asimismo, no se observaron cambios significativos en la activaci\u00f3n de stat1 y stat3, mientras que la expresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna socs3 se vio incrementada de forma significativa. Estos hallazgos sugieren que la activaci\u00f3n de jnk es un componente esencial en el da\u00f1o hep\u00e1tico producido por el virus de la rhd y que la falta de activaci\u00f3n de stat3, probablemente mediada por la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna socs3, contribuir\u00eda a la inhibici\u00f3n de la respuesta regenerativa. Estos datos muestran la presencia de mecanismos moleculares que contribuyen al da\u00f1o hep\u00e1tico y a la ausencia de regeneraci\u00f3n y apoyan la utilidad de este modelo como un medio para
