El mercado europeo on line de viajes sigue un crecimiento constante cada a\u00f1o. El sector tur\u00edstico adolece de planificaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica y de visi\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00edas de la informaci\u00f3n y de la comunicaci\u00f3n en la distribuci\u00f3n comercial. Estas tecnolog\u00edas est\u00e1n cambiando las reglas del juego, est\u00e1n alterando de forma sustancial el papel de cada agente en la creaci\u00f3n de valor en la industria, facilitan la producci\u00f3n de nuevos servicios de alta calidad y dirigen a la industria hacia una orientaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s individualizada. Todo esto es necesario por la metamorfosis del consumidor de viajes. Actua, piensa y compra de forma diferente. Es muy exigente, con mayor poder de decisi\u00f3n, rico en dinero y pobre en tiempo. Es la generaci\u00f3n punto com, que conf\u00eda en la informaci\u00f3n encontrada en buscadores y en redes sociales. Para llegar a \u00e9l hay que hacer uso de herramientas de web marketing -publicidad y promoci\u00f3n on line y marketing 2.0 o marketing social- y de mecanismos de reservas que faciliten el proceso
