El trabajo se centra en el desarrollo, aplicaci\u00f3n y evaluaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9todos estad\u00edsticos espec\u00edficos que consideran la problem\u00e1tica de este tipo de datos, tanto desde el punto de vista de selecci\u00f3n de genes como del an\u00e1lisis funcional. Las t\u00e9cnicas desarrolladas se comparan con otros m\u00e9todos del estado del arte actual evaluando las diferentes metodolog\u00edas en t\u00e9rminos de eficiencia y significado biol\u00f3gico de los resultados. En la tesis se incluye la descripci\u00f3n del funcionamiento de la tecnolog\u00eda de \u00abmicroarrays\u00bb as\u00ed como una revisi\u00f3n cr\u00edtica de los m\u00e9todos estad\u00edsticos aplicados a este tipo de datos mostrando los inconvenientes que surgen al aplicar m\u00e9todos generales a series temporales de \u00abmicroarrays\u00bb y justificando la necesidad de desarrollar nuevas t\u00e9cnicas para el an\u00e1lisis de tcm. La primera t\u00e9cnica desarrollada es masigpro (\u00abmicroarray significant profile\u00bb) que usa an\u00e1lisis de regresi\u00f3n lineal para modelar la expresi\u00f3n g\u00e9nica y lleva a cabo una estrategia en dos pasos para seleccionar los genes diferencialmente expresados. La aplicaci\u00f3n de la t\u00e9cnica multivariante asca (anova \u00absimultaneous component analysis\u00bb) a datos de tcm da como resultado el m\u00e9todo asca-genes que combina la exploraci\u00f3n multivariante de datos con un procedimiento de selecci\u00f3n para identificaci\u00f3n de genes con cambios relevantes. El m\u00e9todo asca es tambi\u00e9n usado para crear una estrategia de filtrado de datos de gran utilidad para eliminar el alto nivel de ruido estructural de los datos de \u00abmicroarrays\u00bb. Por \u00faltimo, se desarrollan m\u00e9todos estad\u00edsticos para una evaluaci\u00f3n directa e integrada de las alteraciones que pueden sufrir las funciones g\u00e9nicas en tcm. Para este prop\u00f3sito, se han adaptado las t\u00e9cnicas masigpro, asca y pca incorpor\u00e1ndoles informaci\u00f3n funcional obteniendo las metodolog\u00edas masigfun, pca-masigfun y
