De los resultados obtenidos se desprende que, en la rata hembra, la poblaci\u00f3n de neuronas kiss1 localizada en el avpv es esencial para la generaci\u00f3n del pico preovulatorio de gonadotropinas. Esta poblaci\u00f3n neuronal es sexualmente dim\u00f3rfica y se organiza durante la etapa cr\u00edtica del desarrollo en respuesta a los niveles de esteroides gonadales circulantes. La se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de er\u00c2\u00bf es esencial para la generaci\u00f3n del pico preovulatorio de gnrh\/gonadotropinas as\u00ed como para el mantenimiento de la respuesta de estas mismas hormonas a las kisspeptinas. Por otro lado, la administraci\u00f3n de kisspeptina-10 fue capaz de producir una respuesta secretora de gonadotropinas en una amplia variedad de condiciones fisiol\u00f3gicas, tales como el ciclo estral, la gestaci\u00f3n y la lactancia. Para finalizar, la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de mtor es esencial en el control de la llegada de la pubertad as\u00ed como en la regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n del gen kiss1, sobre
