Para ello se opt\u00f3 primero por utilizar un anticuerpo anti app, el cual no fue efectivo. Posteriormente se opt\u00f3 por inyectar e introducir, con la t\u00e9cnica de electroporaci\u00f3n, un morfolino que, tras unirse al mrna, fren\u00f3 su traducci\u00f3n, inhibiendo as\u00ed la expresi\u00f3n de la app.  los efectos del anticuerpo y morfolino se han analizado mediante t\u00e9cnicas de biolog\u00eda molecular, morfol\u00f3gicas e inmunol\u00f3gicas; como rt-pcr, western blot, t\u00e9cnicas inmunohistoqu\u00edmicas y tunel.  el knock-down o subexpresi\u00f3n de app con el morfolino ha afectado a las c\u00e9lulas ganglionares retinianas, provocando una mayor proporci\u00f3n de muerte celular que en situaci\u00f3n fisiol\u00f3gica, afectando a su vez al proceso de formaci\u00f3n, migraci\u00f3n, diferenciaci\u00f3n y establecimiento de conexiones de las mismas, lo que nos indica que la app juega un papel importante en el desarrollo de la retina en el embri\u00f3n de pollo.  analizado la expresi\u00f3n de la app y del p\u00e9ptido b-amiloide en secciones de la retina del embri\u00f3n de pollo se puede asegurar que app est\u00e1 presente desde los estad\u00edos m\u00e1s tempranos. Mientras que el p\u00e9ptido b-amiloide 42 es posible detectarlo a partir del d\u00eda 9 (e9) y el b-amiloide 40 a partir del d\u00eda 13 (e13), unos d\u00edas antes de lo que ya hab\u00edamos apreciado con la t\u00e9cnica de elisa.  los trabajos realizados en esta tesis sugieren que la prote\u00edna app tiene una relevancia fisiol\u00f3gica en la retina del embri\u00f3n de pollo durante
