En este sentido hay que tener en cuenta la propia trayectoria creativa e individual de los artistas, y el hecho de que el realismo americano haya ido desempe\u00f1ando un papel variado y cambiante a lo largo de todo el siglo pasado.  partiendo del reco nocimiento de esa multiplicidad, se ha pretendido proponer un an\u00e1lisis detallado y particularizado de un tipo de realismo americano nacido a mediados del siglo xx, generalmente muy poco conocido fuera de sus propias fronteras, donde se descubren las conexiones inminentes entre el pensamiento realista americano y el pensamiento realista espa\u00f1ol.  apoy\u00e1ndose en su afinidad y dependencia de una larga tradici\u00f3n que pasa naturalmente por los grandes genios de la pintura, el contenido de esta investig aci\u00f3n se centra en conocer y precisamente no ignorar, un tipo de realismo americano renovador y tremendamente moderno que figura dignamente y objetivamente como antecedente del realismo
