En este trabajo mostramos por primera vez que esta prote\u00edna se encuentra sobreexpresada en las l\u00edneas celulares de c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, desarrollando un nuevo m\u00e9todo de an\u00e1lisis de imagen in situ cuantitativo en 3d, hemos demostrado que existe una correlaci\u00f3n entre la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de disquerina y la longitud telom\u00e9rica tanto a nivel poblacional -c\u00e9lulas con mayor nivel de expresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna poseen tel\u00f3meros m\u00e1s cortos-, como a nivel celular -los tel\u00f3meros m\u00e1s cortos de la c\u00e9lula se encuentran espacialmente asociados a la disquerina-. Mostramos a su vez que el cont\u00ednuo acortamiento telom\u00e9rico inducido por la inhibici\u00f3n de la actividad telomerasa activa la expresi\u00f3n de disquerina en las c\u00e9lulas de c\u00e1ncer de pulm\u00f3n, y que el incremento ex\u00f3geno de disquerina en estas c\u00e9lulas supone mayor resistencia al acortamiento telom\u00e9rico causado por la inhibici\u00f3n de la actividad telomerasa. Finalmente, mostramos que dicha resistencia se obtiene gracias a la recuperaci\u00f3n de la actividad telomerasa mediada por la expresi\u00f3n de la disquerina. En res\u00famen, empleando un novedoso m\u00e9todo de an\u00e1lisis de imagen in situ cuantitativo en 3d, hemos demostrado que la disquerina juega un papel fundamental en la biolog\u00eda telom\u00e9rica, respondiendo al acortamiento de los tel\u00f3meros para activar la telomerasa confiriendo as\u00ed resistencia a ese mismo acortamiento.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
