La primera tiene como objetivo la preparaci\u00f3n de bis-beta-lactamas macroc\u00edclicas como generadoras de diversidad estructural. En una primera aproximaci\u00f3n las bis-beta-lactamas objetivo se obtienen de forma estereoselectiva a partir de bis-iminas macroc\u00edclicas mediante una doble reacci\u00f3n de staudinger. Los macrociclos resultantes se pueden derivatizar f\u00e1cilmente obteniendo otro tipo de cavidades basadas en bis-beta-amino\u00e1cidos, bis-azetidinas y  bis-amidas. En una segunda aproximaci\u00f3n se parte de alquinil-bis-beta-lactamas empleando para el cierre del macrociclo tanto complejos de metales de transici\u00f3n de geometr\u00eda cis-plano cuadrada como una serie de bis-azidas en una doble reacci\u00f3n de cic loadici\u00f3n 1,3-dipolar catalizada por cu(i). en la segunda parte de la tesis se lleva a cabo un estudio te\u00f3rico-experimental sobre la reactividad y propiedades del o,o-eddha, uno de los agentes quelantes de hierro m\u00e1s eficaces para corregir la clorosi s f\u00e9rrica. Este agente es muy resistente a la fotodegradaci\u00f3n y permite proponer un modelo plausible que justifica la transferencia de hierro desde el quelato eddha a las plantas.
