La estrecha relaci\u00f3n entre las neuronas colin\u00e9rgicas del prosenc\u00e9falo basal y el hipocampo juega un papel importante en el almacenamiento y retenci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n durante un nuevo aprendizaje. En este trabajo analizamos la memoria visuo-espacial reciente en personas con sd de dos grupos de edad distintos (14-29 vs. 30-45 a\u00f1os) y estudiamos la actividad tanto perif\u00e9rica como plasm\u00e1tica de las enzimas colinesterasas. Nuestros datos demuestran alteraciones en la memoria reciente visuo-espacial en personas con sd pero no se observan cambios en la actividad de las enzimas colinesterasas en personas con sd ni en el modelo murino de trisom\u00eda parcial, el rat\u00f3n ts65dn. Por otro lado, en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os se viene sugiriendo que entre los genes triplicados en el sd, algunos contribuyen de forma m\u00e1s importante a algunos de los fenotipos de la trisom\u00eda 21. Diversos trabajos in vivo han demostrado que dyrk1a puede ser un gen candidato, ya que alteraciones en su desregulaci\u00f3n dan lugar a algunos de los rasgos fenot\u00edpicos caracter\u00edsticos del sd. En el presente trabajo analizamos la contribuci\u00f3n de la sobrexpresi\u00f3n de dyrk1a en los cambios de la actividad de las enzimas colinesterasas y el impacto de la desregulaci\u00f3n de dyrk1a en la maquinaria de splicing, mediante cambios a nivel transcripcional, estado de fosforilaci\u00f3n y localizaci\u00f3n subcelular de los factores de splicing de la famaila de las prote\u00ednas ricas en serina, lo que podr\u00eda conducir a cambios en los transcritos de genes involucrados en los procesos cognitivos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
