Se ha usado la especificaci\u00f3n del fotorreceptor r7, controlado por la v\u00eda del receptor tirosina quinasa sevenless (sev) en el ojo de d. Melanogaster para buscar nuevos moduladores de la actividad de la v\u00eda y averiguar los mecanismos que dan robustez a la especificaci\u00f3n de esta c\u00e9lula. La prote\u00edna socs36e, que posee un dominio sh2 y una socs box, act\u00faa como atenuador de la se\u00f1al de sev. La sobre-expresi\u00f3n de socs36e suprime la especificaci\u00f3n de fotorreceptores r7 ect\u00f3picos debidos a la activaci\u00f3n constitutiva de sev, mientras que la p\u00e9rdida de funci\u00f3n de socs36e rescata la p\u00e9rdida de c\u00e9lulas r7 cuando la actividad de sev no es completa. En un fondo gen\u00e9tico wild type, la ganancia y p\u00e9rdida de funci\u00f3n de socs36e muestran leves efectos en la especificaci\u00f3n del r7. El dominio sh2 de socs36e es esencial para su funci\u00f3n en la regulaci\u00f3n negativa de sev y la expresi\u00f3n de socs36e es reprimida por una alta actividad de la v\u00eda de sev; s\u00f3lo la c\u00e9lula con capacidad de activar altos niveles de la v\u00eda, inhibe la expresi\u00f3n de socs36e, reduciendo el efecto negativo de \u00e9ste sobre la v\u00eda de sev, y permitiendo por tanto, su diferenciaci\u00f3n en r7. Por el contrario, el resto de c\u00e9lulas no reciben altos niveles de se\u00f1al y mantienen la expresi\u00f3n de socs36e; esta expresi\u00f3n permite suprimir la actividad residual de sev y bloquea la especificaci\u00f3n como r7. Por tanto, socs36e constituye un nuevo mecanismo de feedback que contribuye a la correcta especificaci\u00f3n del r7. Adem\u00e1s, utilizando las ventajas de la t\u00e9cnica f\u00ed\u00b6rster resonance energy transfer (fret) demostramos que el receptor sev se une directamente a dos reguladores de la ruta de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n: la prote\u00edna adaptadora drk y la supresora socs36e, demostrando as\u00ed el mecanismo molecular utilizado por socs36e para reglar negativamente la v\u00eda de
