It has been found that the presence of moderate-intensity vibration seems not to affect the formation of jams in the output of the silo, allowing only the subsequent breakup of the arches formed at the exit that would have been stable in a silo without vibrations. This breaking of arches leads to the emergence of long duration discharge flow interruptions.
