La falta de m\u00e9todos diagn\u00f3sticos adecuados hace que el tratamiento sea tard\u00edo y colabora en la elevada mortalidad de sus infecciones. La patogenia de este hongo es multifactorial y polig\u00e9nica y no se encuentra bien definida. En este estudio se seleccionaron 30 genes de este hongo descritos como factores de virulencia en la bibliograf\u00eda y se desarrollaron reacciones de pcr para su amplificaci\u00f3n. Se contrast\u00f3 la especificidad de las regiones amplificadas mediante el desarrollo de un microarray de adn y estudios de hibridaci\u00f3n competitiva con 11 especies de hongos. Se realiz\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n un ensayo de pcr a tiempo real y se aplicaron los sistemas de detecci\u00f3n desarrollados a un modelo de infecci\u00f3n animal. Las pcr descritas para los genes rodb, mitf, asphs, mep20, pep y pabaa permiten diferenciar a. Fumigatus \/ a. Lentulus de n. Udagawae y de otras 15 especies de hongos. Con la pcr a tiempo real desarrollada para una secuencia del gen asphs, estableciendo un punto de corte (ct) en 34 ciclos, puede detectarse a. Fumigatus de forma r\u00e1pida y sensible, difer\u00e9nci\u00e1ndola de otras especies de hongos, incluida n. Udagawae, aunque no pueda ser diferenciada de a. Lentulus. De las pcr convencionales desarrolladas, 29 permiten la detecci\u00f3n de la infecci\u00f3n por a. Fumigatus en tejidos, en el modelo de infecci\u00f3n propuesto, mediante amplificaci\u00f3n seguida de electroforesis en gel de agarosa. Sin embargo, ninguna de las t\u00e9cnicas desarrolladas puede diferenciar a. Lentulus y a.
