Horretarako, bai landare zuntzetatik eta baita bakteria bidez sintetizatutako zelulosa erabili dira. Landareen zelulosa lortzeko metodolog\u00edarik egokiena bideratu ondoren, 20-25 nm-tako diametro eta 250-300 nm-tako luzerako zelulosa mikrozuntzak lortu dira. Gainera proposaturiko tratamenduen protokoloak beste zuntz naturaletan duen erabilgarritasuna frogatu da. Ondoren, zelulosan oinarritutako eta polimero biodegradagarrien bionanokonpositeen ekoizpenean ekin da. Zelulosa mikrozuntzen dispertsiorako gunerik egokiena ura izaki, uretan guztiz solugarria den polietileno oxidoa, erdi-solugarria den polibinilo butirala eta polikaprolaktona ez solugarria erabili dira eta soluzio metodoa erabili da lehen bi kasuetan eta miniestrusio prozesua hiruretan. Erabilitako prozesaketa metodoek zelulosa mikrozuntzen dispertsio maila ona lortzea bideratu duten arren ez dira, nanokonpositeen propietateetan hobekuntza nabarmenak antzeman, batez ere mekanikoetan. Burututako biodegradagarritasun azterketan, zelulosa mikrozuntzen gehitzeak nanokonpositeen biodegradagarritasun maila azeleratzen duela ikusi da eta polikaprolaktonaren kasuan, biodegradazio totala 3 hilabeteren buruan eman da. Zelulosa bakterialaren sintesian propietate mekaniko eta kristaltasun maila altuko zelulosa filmak lortu dira eta epoxidatutako soia olioarekin nahastean, gardentasun maila altuko eta propietate mekaniko oso onak aurkezten dituen biokonpositea lortu da.
