La investigaci\u00f3n se ha centrado en mejorar, con respecto a metodolog\u00edas previas, las estimas de c ant en la cuenca atl\u00e1ntica y en realizar un seguimiento y an\u00e1lisis de las tasas de almacenamiento de este trazador en las principales masas de agua del atl\u00e1ntico norte, as\u00ed como de las tasas de la acidificaci\u00f3n inducida por el hombre en esta misma regi\u00f3n.  en el cap\u00edtulo 1 se sientan las bases para desarrollar un m\u00e9todo mejorado de estima del co2 antropog\u00e9nico (c ant) para el oce\u00e1no atl\u00e1ntico denominado
