A pesar de estar bien definido desde los puntos de vista fenot\u00edpico y genot\u00edpico se est\u00e1n describiendo continuamente nuevas especies dentro del g\u00e9nero. La enorme diversidad gen\u00e9tica de algunas especies del g\u00e9nero est\u00e1 claramente demostrada, como sucede en p. Stutzeri y hay que ver c\u00f3mo se manifiesta en otras especies de g\u00e9nero. el m\u00e9todo actualmente aceptado para discriminar entre especies bacterianas es la hibridaci\u00f3n dna-dna, pero este m\u00e9todo tiene sus limitaciones (tiempo requerido, necesidad de experiencia en desarrollo, no define distancias entre especies, no es acumulativo). En este proyecto proponemos el desarrollo de un nuevo m\u00e9todo, fiable y acumulativo para la definici\u00f3n de especies en el g\u00e9nero pseudomonas, basado en la t\u00e9cnica de tipado multilocus de secuencias (mlst). La enorme diversidad gen\u00e9tica de las especies de esta g\u00e9nero la hacen un banco de pruebas ideal en el que se pueden validar nuevos m\u00e9todos. La t\u00e9cnica mlst permitir\u00e1 adem\u00e1s elucidar la diversidad gen\u00e9tica del g\u00e9nero, su filogenia y su taxonom\u00eda. Para ello habr\u00e1 que aplicar nuevas herramientas bioinform\u00e1ticas.
