En esta tesis se realiza un estudio multinivel con datos educativos a trav\u00e9s de una explotaci\u00f3n secundaria de los datos de la evaluaci\u00f3n de pisa 2003 para espa\u00f1a, en matem\u00e1ticas. La muestra utilizada est\u00e1 constituida por 10.791 alumnos y alumnas de un total de 383 centros educativos. El objetivo general es la elaboraci\u00f3n de un modelo multinivel sobre la eficacia educativa en el \u00e1mbito nacional espa\u00f1ol, a partir de variables individuales y de centro.  Para conducir nuestro prop\u00f3sito, desde un marco te\u00f3rico, realizamos una aproximaci\u00f3n hacia la calidad y eficacia de las escuelas en el marco de las evaluaciones educativas, profundizando en los modelos de eficacia escolar desarrollados en anteriores investigaciones. Los resultados muestran que despu\u00e9s de controlar las variables individuales, las variables de centro que se asocian a la puntuaci\u00f3n media en matem\u00e1ticas son: titularidad, porcentaje de
