Se determin\u00f3 experimentalmente la dependencia con la intensidad de corriente del arco de los principales par\u00e1metros que caracterizan el funcionamiento de los c\u00e1todos. \tlos cambios producidos por el arco en la morfolog\u00eda y composici\u00f3n de los c\u00e1todos fueron estudiados por microscop\u00eda sem y an\u00e1lisis edx. Se determinaron as\u00ed las dimensiones de la zona del spot y adem\u00e1s, en los c\u00e1todos de tungsteno toriado, las de dos zonas encontradas: una zona despoblada de torio y otra rica en torio. Para cada intensidad de corriente se midieron la temperatura del spot (por pirometr\u00eda de un color) y la densidad de corriente en \u00e9l. Se encontr\u00f3 un crecimiento exponencial de la densidad de corriente al aumentar la temperatura del spot. Se midieron las erosiones para cada intensidad de corriente y se contrastaron los valores obtenidos con los producidos por la evaporaci\u00f3n de material cat\u00f3dico. \tse obtuvieron las dependencias de las funciones trabajo efectiva \u00c2\u00bf con la intensidad de corriente y con la temperatura t del spot. En los c\u00e1todos de tungsteno se encontr\u00f3 un valor constante \u00c2\u00bf = 4.1 ev. En los c\u00e1todos de tungsteno toriado se encontr\u00f3 que \u00c2\u00bf crece r\u00e1pidamente desde 2.6 ev a 30 a hasta 3.0 ev a 150 a, manteni\u00e9ndose pr\u00e1cticamente constante a intensidades mayores. Como funci\u00f3n de t, \u00c2\u00bf var\u00eda linealmente en estos c\u00e1todos desde 2.7 ev a 2900 k hasta 3.1 ev a 3700 k, lo que se corresponde con la \u00c2\u00bf de una capa de torio de densidad superficial variable depositada sobre tungsteno. En ambos c\u00e1todos se evalu\u00f3 la correcci\u00f3n de schottky que es pr\u00e1cticamente constante a las intensidades de corriente investigadas e igual a 0.4 ev.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
