Aproximadamente el 50% son de car\u00e1cter maligno siendo dos a\u00f1os el tiempo de supervivencia medio de los animales afectados. Por ello, es necesario realizar un diagn\u00f3stico lo m\u00e1s precoz posible al fin de instaurar el tratamiento adecuado en cada caso y mejorar as\u00ed el pron\u00f3stico del animal. Por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido determinar la validez del estudio ecogr\u00e1fico como m\u00e9todo diagn\u00f3stico de los tumores mamarios caninos a la hora de establecer su uso en la cl\u00ednica diaria de peque\u00f1os animales. Se han evaluado 104 tumores mamarios caninos mediante ecograf\u00eda en modo b, doppler color, power doppler y doppler espectral, estableciendo la correlaci\u00f3n existente entre los patrones ecogr\u00e1ficos citados con las caracter\u00edsticas histol\u00f3gicas de los mismos. Se han encontrado diferencias significativas en los par\u00e1metros de ecotextura y patr\u00f3n de flujo vascular, entre tumores benignos y malignos, permitiendo realizar un primer diagn\u00f3stico presuntivo, si bien, para alcanzar un diagn\u00f3stico definitivo, es necesario el estudio histopatol\u00f3gico del tumor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
