La memoria de esta tesis redactada en ingl\u00e9s est\u00e1 estructurada en cinco cap\u00edtulos. el cap\u00edtulo 1 presenta una introducci\u00f3n general revisando los conceptos b\u00e1sicos tanto de electroqu\u00edmica como de semiconductores. Se detallan los mecanismos de la preparaci\u00f3n de pel\u00edculas por t\u00e9cnicas electroqu\u00edmicas y se hace una breve revisi\u00f3n de la conversi\u00f3n de energ\u00eda solar en sistemas fotovoltaicos. en el cap\u00edtulo 2 se explican las t\u00e9cnicas experimentales utilizadas en este trabajo para la preparaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de sistemas electroqu\u00edmicos y de pel\u00edculas delgadas. en el cap\u00edtulo 3 se presentan los resultados concernientes a la electroqu\u00edmica general del cobre en medio alcalino. Se describe la metodolog\u00eda desarrollada para la preparaci\u00f3n de capas de cu2o y la caracterizaci\u00f3n de sus propiedades generales. Se presenta un estudio sobre los mecanismos de crecimiento de las capas de cu2o. Se estudian las propiedades electr\u00f3nicas en la interface cu|cu2o|electrolito y se construye un diagrama electr\u00f3nico de la interface. Finalmente se estudia la impurificaci\u00f3n de cu2o que provee de nuevos datos acerca de la estructura electr\u00f3nica del cu2o. el cap\u00edtulo 4 propone un m\u00e9todo para preparar pel\u00edculas semiconductoras de teluro de cobre, as\u00ed como un m\u00e9todo para el electrodep\u00f3sito de pel\u00edculas de zno. Se describen los m\u00e9todos de preparaci\u00f3n para cada material.
