<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Esta investigaci\u00f3n tiene la finalidad de delimitar el perfil competencial actual del profesor universitario y el perfil competencial necesario (abord\u00e1ndose de manera diferenciada la funci\u00f3n docente e investigadora) considerando los cambios que se est\u00e1n produciendo en su contexto sociolaboral, especialmente los provocados por la implantaci\u00f3n del nuevo espacio europeo de educaci\u00f3n superior (eees).  los resultados son presentados a partir de un perfil general y, posteriormente, se muestran las diferencias seg\u00fan el g\u00e9nero, la experiencia y el \u00e1mbito cient\u00edfico; concluyendo, posteriormente, con algunas implicaciones formativas de dichos resultados. esta investigaci\u00f3n combina metodolog\u00edas de corte cualitativo y cuantitativo, bas\u00e1ndose en una doble triangulaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9cnicas (cuestionarios, entrevistas y grupos de discusi\u00f3n) y agentes informantes (alumnos, profesores y
