Los resultados presentados han dado luz sobre ciertos aspectos biol\u00f3gicos que controlan la capacidad de originar todos los tipos celulares del organismo, capacidad \u00fanica e inherente en las c\u00e9lulas troncales de origen embrionario. Los mecanismos de control de la pluripotencialidad por \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico contemplan eventos de regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de ciertos genes desde una perspectiva gen\u00e9tica y epigen\u00e9tica, as\u00ed como sucesos relacionados con muerte y supervivencia celular. Estos mecanismos son muy dependientes de las concentraciones efectivas de dicho gas, as\u00ed como de la acci\u00f3n de diversas v\u00edas de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n en la c\u00e9lula. Si bien se ha empleado como modelo de estudio un sistema biol\u00f3gico in vitro, los precedentes en modelos animales demuestran la importancia de la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n por \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico en el desarrollo embrionario. Por tanto, todos estos precedentes confirman la importancia de la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n  por \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico como un nuevo sistema biol\u00f3gico regulador de la pluripotencialidad y de la diferenciaci\u00f3n celular en c\u00e9lulas embrionarias, siendo el escenario para el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias con vistas a su aplicaci\u00f3n en medicina
