La investigaci\u00f3n comienza con el desarrollo de los fundamentos metodol\u00f3gicos en los que est\u00e1 basada para, posteriormente, enmarcar te\u00f3ricamente un concepto tan escurridizo y ambiguo como es la noci\u00f3n de realismo en el \u00e1mbito cinematogr\u00e1fico. Una vez establecido el marco te\u00f3rico se lleva a cabo un exhaustivo an\u00e1lisis textual de vacas, en el que se deletrea la escritura que all\u00ed trabaja con el objetivo de desentra\u00f1ar las claves que definen su po\u00e9tica visual. A continuaci\u00f3n, partiendo de las conclusiones obtenidas en el an\u00e1lisis previo, se profundiza en dos aspectos fundamentales: el tratamiento de la naturaleza y la problem\u00e1tica que se establece en torno al realismo, aspectos estos que se manifiestan clave en el cine medemiano y que le hacen entablar una interesante dial\u00e9ctica con otras cinematograf\u00edas, traz\u00e1ndose una profusa red de relaciones intertextuales con el cine nacional e internacional. Finalmente, un \u00faltimo bloque se encarga de rastrear a trav\u00e9s de la filmograf\u00eda del autor las resonancias de su \u00f3pera prima, g\u00e9nesis de la escritura
