Jose <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En una muestra de 132 trabajadores del calzado expuestos a n-hexano y otros disolventes se ha realizado un estudio de control biologico mediante la determinacion de la 2,5-hexanodiona (2,5-hd) en la orina y del n-hexano en el aire exhalado (70 trabajadores) recogidos al finalizar el turno de trabajo. Se pretende analizar la influencia de diferentes condiciones de trabajo en las concentraciones urinarias de 2,5-hd libre (fraccion toxica \u00abreal\u00bb de 2,5-hd) y de 2,5-hd total (obtenida por hidrolisis acida de la orina a ph 0.1, que corresponde a la 2,5-hd libre mas la 4,5-dihidroxi-2-hexanona, metabolito no toxico presente en la orina en forma conjugada). La exposicion individual a disolventes se realizo utilizando monitores personales activos y por cuantificacion mediante cromatografia de gases. La determinacion de las 2,5-hd total y 2,5-hd libre se realizo igualmente por cromatografia de gases y la 4,5-dh-2-hx se calculo indirectamente por diferencia entre la 2,5-hd total y la 2,5-hd libre. La concentracion de 2,5-hd libre en la orina de los trabajadores expuestos es del 14.2% de la 2,5-hd total urinaria. La 2,5-hd total es la que presenta mejor correlacion (r=0.91) con la concentracion de n-hexano en ambiente y en aire exhalado. A igualdad de exposicion a n-hexano, las concentraciones urinarias de 2,5-hd libre y de 4,5-dh-2-hx aumentan a lo largo de la semana laboral, cuando se asocia la absorcion via dermica (no uso de guantes) y en coexposicion a acetona.
