Nos interesa conocer el metabolismo de los acidos biliares en conejos sometidos a nptp, y caracterizar el tipo de lesion hepatica. En 1984, cooper describio la asociacion de incidencia de colostasis y deficit de taurina en plasma de prematuros. Sabemos por los trabajos de jousef, que una elevada proporcion de acidos biliares no conjugados, especialmente el litocolico y derivados, pueden ser toxicos-colestaticos. Nuestro objetivos y metodos han sido:  1. Analizar los cambios de la composicion biliar tras infusion de acido litocolico intravenosamente en conejos:  grupo a de animales.  2. Nutrir de forma prolongada, unicamente parental, a conejos con una solucion de aminoacidos conteniendo taurina: grupo b de animales.  3. Nutrir de igual forma a animales, pero con una mezcla de nutricion carente de taurina y sus precursores: grupo c de animales.  nuestros resultados han mostrado ligero deficit nutricional de los animales, al final de la experimentacion, en todos los grupos. El aminograma plasmatico no ha resultado fiable para el seguimiento de la np. A nivel histomorfologico los cambios han consistido en esteatosis mas o menos difusa del hepatocito, con signos histomoforfologicos de colestasis, a nivel del polo biliar, en los grupos de np. El patron de secrecion de los acidos biliares han consistido en incremento de las formas libres de los mismos, especialmente el litocolico y sus glicoderivados, que han sido considerados como hepatotoxicos, tanto en los grupos de nutricion parenteral como en el grupo infundido intravenosamente con litocolico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
