Carmen <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Las zeolitas son minerales pertenecientes a la familia de los tectosilicatos. Un aspecto caracteristico de ellas es la existencia de tuneles y cavidades interconectadas dentro de su estructura, donde se situan los iones metalicos e incluso moleculas. En la tesis doctoral se ha estudiado la cinetica formal del proceso de adsorcion de iones pb, cu, zn y ni sobre una zeolita natural de la provincia de chubut (argentina).  las isotermas de adsorcion de los iones estudiados se ajustan al modelo de langmuir. Se observo que la isoterma depende del tratamiento previo ejercido sobre el mineral.  se plantea un modelo cinetico mediante cuatro etapas (adsorcion, desorcion, difusion hacia el interior y difusion hacia el exterior) que no depende de la naturaleza del ion y es independiente del tratamiento previo del material.  la cinetica formal del proceso se ajusta a una reaccion global de primer orden cuya constante de velocidad aparente es un conjunto de constantes de las diferentes etapas del modelo propuesto, decrece con el aumento de la concentracion inicial del ion y es independiente del tratamiento previo y de la naturaleza del ion.
