En este estudio se propone la biomasa como materia prima b\u00e1sica para el desarrollo de una tecnolog\u00eda basada en el aprovechamiento de recursos naturales org\u00e1nicos renovables. El uso de la biomasa en lugar de los combustibles f\u00f3siles implica la realizaci\u00f3n  utilizaci\u00f3n de importantes reajustes en las tecnolog\u00edas industriales existentes y la necesidad de aplicar nuevos enfoques en investigaci\u00f3n, desarrollo y producci\u00f3n. La bio-refiner\u00eda se presenta como una tecnolog\u00eda de procesado de la biomasa donde se consigue el aprovechamiento integral de los componentes de la misma mediante t\u00e9cnicas de fraccionamiento, separaci\u00f3n y purificaci\u00f3n, para su posterior conversi\u00f3n en m\u00faltiples productos qu\u00edmicos y bienes de consumo.   en este trabajo se presentan varios esquemas que permiten la valorizaci\u00f3n de residuos agr\u00edcolas, hierbas, plantas anuales y especies madereras alternativas a las convencionales para la obtenci\u00f3n de celulosa, hemicelulosas y lignina por fraccionamiento de la biomasa lignocelul\u00f3sica. La aplicaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda de fraccionado basada en modificaciones de los procesos de fabricaci\u00f3n de pasta y papel junto con pre y post-tratamientos para la obtenci\u00f3n y purificaci\u00f3n de los co-productos del proceso, adem\u00e1s de la recuperaci\u00f3n de los disolventes, se ha aplicado se manera satisfactoria dando como resultado productos de alta calidad y
