Otro objetivo no menos importante era avanzar en el conocimiento de las relaciones composici\u00f3n-estructura-propiedades-aplicaciones de estos materiales, de modo que se puedan dise\u00f1ar materiale s l\u00e1ser para aplicaciones espec\u00edficas. De la memoria se deduce que se han logrado numerosos nuevos materiales con la emisi\u00f3n l\u00e1ser buscada. Para ello se han sintetizado nuevos colorantes borodifluorodipirrometenos (bodipys) empleando estrategias de s \u00edntesis extensibles a otros colorantes de la misma familia, y se han disuelto o anclado covalentemente a matrices s\u00f3lidas de pol\u00edmeros org\u00e1nicos lineales, entrecruzados, fluorados o sililados, y a matrices inorg\u00e1nicas o h\u00edbridas org\u00e1nico-inorg\u00e1nicas.  Los resultados permiten disponer de nuevos materiales l\u00e1ser eficientes y fotoestables, con emisi\u00f3n sintonizable entre 570-750 nm.
