Las simulaciones realizadas mediante el coalescente son comunmente usados en gen\u00e9tica para testar hip\u00f3tesis evolutivas o estimar par\u00e1metros. Es importante que el modelo de simulaci\u00f3n sea lo m\u00e1s el\u00e1stico posible. en esta tesis se ha desarrollado una herramienta basada  en el coalescente para simular secuencias doficantes y nocodificantes de dna en presencia de reombinaci\u00f3n, demograf\u00eda, migraci\u00f3n, selecci\u00f3n y todo ello bajo dversos modelos evolutivos. Estas herramientas han sido pimplementadas en los programas \u00abrecodon\u00bb y  \u00abnetrecodon\u00bb. Adem\u00e1s se ha demostrado que la recombinaci\u00f3n no sesga las estimas de la adaptaci\u00f3n molecular a nivel global, aunque s\u00ed a nivel local (codones). Tambi\u00e9n se ha demostrado que la recombinaci\u00f3n introduce un error en la reconstrucci\u00f3n de seuencias ancestrales, aunque este error se puede reducir ligeramente si los puntos de corte son considerados. las clases te\u00f3ricas de caracterizaci\u00f3n de redes filogen\u00e9ticas son insuficientes. Se ha desarrollado un  nuev\u00f3 m\u00e9todo  para coestimar recombinaci\u00f3n, selecci\u00f3n y sustituci\u00f3n basado en approximate baysic computation.
