La definici\u00f3n original de este concepto fue ofrecida por albert y whetten (1985) se\u00f1alando que la pregunta \u00c2\u00bf\u00c2\u00bfqui\u00e9nes somos nosotros como organizaci\u00f3n?\u00c2\u00bf es autorreflexiva  y que captura las caracter\u00edsticas esenciales, duraderas y distintivas de una organizaci\u00f3n. Las contribuciones recientes afirman que para una organizaci\u00f3n y para sus miembros es importante saber qui\u00e9nes son como organizaci\u00f3n porque este conocimiento subyace a las actividades, al comportamiento y a las decisiones tomadas. Actualmente se produce una falta de consenso sobre esta met\u00e1fora, por lo que se da una divergencia de marcos te\u00f3ricos para interpretarla. Por ello, para el desarrollo de esta tesis doctoral ha sido necesario realizar una exploraci\u00f3n previa para la construcci\u00f3n de un marco conceptual l\u00f3gico que ha delimitado el campo de an\u00e1lisis y ha guiado la investigaci\u00f3n. El objetivo ha sido el de corroborar que hay campo en la teor\u00eda de la organizaci\u00f3n  para el estudio cient\u00edfico de la identidad organizativa. Para lograrlo, una vez delimitado el campo de an\u00e1lisis, se ha llevado a cabo un estudio aplicado a nuevas empresas de base tecnol\u00f3gica del parque cient\u00edfico de Madrid y del parque cient\u00edfico de legan\u00e9s, a trav\u00e9s de una metodolog\u00eda basada en t\u00e9cnicas tanto cualitativas como cuantitativas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
