Este fenomeno consiste basica en la aparicion en celulas transformados de un mecanismo de proteccion frente a agentes citotoxicos. El mecanismo mas frecuente que permite adquirir resistencia es la sobreexpresion de una glicoproteina de membrana de 170 kd en celulas resistentes. En esta tesis hemos analizado el mecanismo por el que se produce esta resistencia a multidrogas, utilizando como modelo experimental in vitro una linea de rabdomiosarcoma inducida a la resistencia con d-actinomicina. Esta linea celular resistente nos ha permitido demostrar que el proceso de induccion a la resistencia conlleva paralelamente un incremento del grado de diferenciacion de la linea avalado por estudios
