Se han seleccionado algunas de sus novelas m\u00e1s representativas en tanto en cuento son en las que se observan con mayor claridad y contundencia las t\u00e9cnicas y recursos literarios mencionados. Primero se realiza la lectura de fuentes bibliogr\u00e1ficas te\u00f3ricas para aclarar la utilizaci\u00f3n de t\u00e9rminos como: iron\u00eda, parodia, carnaval, chiste, humor, rito o realismo m\u00e1gico, entre otros. Seguidamente se procede a la lectura de fuentes bibliogr\u00e1ficas que tratan la cr\u00edtica literaria sobre el autor y sus obras. En el estudio se observa c\u00f3mo el autor se da cuenta de que los m\u00e9todos de reescritura m\u00e1s apropiados para mostrar la nueva realidad latinoamericana son los que subvierten los discursos colonialistas y opresivos anteriores, como el chiste, la parodia, la iron\u00eda, el rito y el carnaval, ya que las t\u00e9cnicas  literarias de la novela anterior no estaban capacitadas para describir unos hechos tan incre\u00edbles, m\u00edticos y pluralistas como son los que caracterizan a la historia de latinoam\u00e9rica. Los latinoamericanos no s\u00f3lo se enfrentaban a fen\u00f3menos meteorol\u00f3gicos extremos, continuas guerras y situaciones de violencia. Adem\u00e1s ha de tenerse en cuenta las enfermedades y plagas ocurridas por la suma pobreza en la que se encontraba la mayor\u00eda de la poblaci\u00f3n y el hecho de que la \u00fanica esperanza que les quedaba era la espiritual y se encontraban con una iglesia corrupta y manipuladora, nos queda una realidad que no puede ser representada m\u00e1s que a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e9todos que reflejen la
