Por un lado se presentan nuevos algoritmos para el c\u00e1lculo de las relaciones de subordinaci\u00f3n entre s\u00edmplices 2d y tambi\u00e9n se introducen nuevos m\u00e9todos, basados en un barrido del plano, que optimizan la construcci\u00f3n de las capas de s\u00edmplices. La idea que explota la tesis es la de utilizar la indexaci\u00f3n espacial para poder optimizar el acceso y que ayuda a organizar las capas de s\u00edmplices. Esta nueva indexaci\u00f3n es denominada descomposici\u00f3n multi l-rep. Se intenta demostrar la mejora que supone el a\u00f1adir esta nueva estructura sobre la l-rep. En particular se estudian las tres opciones para la partici\u00f3n del plano, en el caso 2d, seg\u00fan se tome una partici\u00f3n regular o recursiva del plano o bien se opte por una descomposici\u00f3n basada en un barrido rotacional. En la tesis se explican los tres m\u00e9todos y se comentan de forma comparativa las ventajas en cada caso. C\u00f3mo aplicaciones principales se presentan el test de inclusi\u00f3n en un pol\u00edgono y las operaciones booleanas entre pol\u00edgonos. Como conclusi\u00f3n se demuestra que el m\u00e9todo de la multi l-rep mejora sustancialmente los resultados, especialmente cuando se trata de pol\u00edgonos con muchas
