Se ha desarrollado un m\u00e9todo mediante spe y lc-ms\/ms para determinar \u00e1cido carn\u00f3sico en l\u00e1minas activas de romero. Se ha comprobado que la concentraci\u00f3n decrece r\u00e1pidamente a las pocas horas de fabricar las l\u00e1minas.  se ha constatado experimentalmente el funcionamiento de l\u00e1minas activas de or\u00e9gano para la protecci\u00f3n de filetes de vacuno as\u00ed como la liberaci\u00f3n de carvacrol y timol al espacio de cabeza del envase.  se ha determinado la capacidad antioxidante de varios aceites esenciales mediante los m\u00e9todos dpph y orac, siendo los de clavo, canela y or\u00e9gano los m\u00e1s antioxidantes. Se ha comprobado que fracci\u00f3n correspondiente a los componentes mayoritarios de los aceites esenciales puede explicar entre el 72 y el 115% de su capacidad antioxidante.  se ha determinado la capacidad antioxidante de las l\u00e1minas activas para los aceites esenciales m\u00e1s antioxidantes, y en funci\u00f3n del espesor de recubrimiento y de la concentraci\u00f3n de aceite esencial. El comportamiento de los aceites esenciales no responde exactamente a la concentraci\u00f3n nominal de aceite esencial incorporado, sino que depende la naturaleza del mismo, as\u00ed como la forma de producir el recubrimiento activo.  se ha estudiado la naturaleza del ensayo orac mediante lc-ms\/ms llegando a detectarse 30 compuestos distintos en los sistemas antioxidantes de trolox, eugenol, carvacrol y timol.
