En esta tesis se han modelado dos vias metabolicas; la fermentacion etanolica en saccharomyces cerevisiae y el metabolismo purinico en humanos.  la primera via tiene un gran interes biotecnologico, no obstante, en esta tesis se ha utilizado como ejemplo para comparar las dos teorias del campo, bst y mca viendose que los resultados obtenidos son equivalentes en las dos teorias, ademas con la experiencia adquirida en el modelaje de esta via, se ha propuesto un protocolo para la validacion de modelos matematicos, en el cual se incluyen herramientas desarrolladas en la teoria de la bst.  la segunda via tiene un interes mas clinico, el modelo de esta via se construyo utilizando el protocolo de validacion propuesto anteriormente, una vez obtenido un modelo realista de esta via metabolica, se ha utilizado para simular ciertas anomalias metabolicas y para esclarecer los mecanismos bioquimicos que llevan a las consecuencias patologicas en estas anomalias.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
