Aplicaciones en s\u00edntesis asim\u00e9trica se dise\u00f1a una nueva familia de iluros quirales de azufre bic\u00edclicos sin precedentes en la literatura. Se sintetizan sus sales precursoras a partir de 5 amino\u00e1cidos comerciales: l y d-metionina, s-metil-l-ciste\u00edna, l-prolina, l-valina y bencil-l-serina, consiguiendo optimizar sus rutas sint\u00e9ticas en el escalado para poder obtener del orden de 50 gramos de cada una de ellas. Con estas sales de sulfonio se estudia la reacci\u00f3n de formaci\u00f3n de iluros in situ y c\u00f3mo intervienen estos en la reacci\u00f3n de epoxidaci\u00f3n asim\u00e9trica de diferentes aldehidos (arom\u00e1ticos y alif\u00e1ticos). Se propone una explicaci\u00f3n mecan\u00edstica plausible para los buenos resultados obtenidos en t\u00e9rminos de rendimientos qu\u00edmicos y excelentes inducciones asim\u00e9tricas {e.D y e.E > 98%). Tambi\u00e9n se estudia la reacci\u00f3n de estos iluros con cetonas, obteniendo entre nulos y bajos rendimientos qu\u00edmicos, si bien la inducci\u00f3n asim\u00e9trica sigue siendo excelente. se realiza un extenso estudio de las reacciones de aperturas n\u00facleo tilicas de las diferentes epoxi amidas quirales encontrando que la regioselectividad y el rendimiento qu\u00edmico depende tanto del sustrato como del nucle\u00f3filo empleado. se aplica la metodolog\u00eda desarrollada en la tesis a la s\u00edntesis total de mol\u00e9culas biol\u00f3gicamente activa: agente antitumoral pironetina, agente inmunosupresor estevastelina c3 y feromona invict\u00f3lido.
